SAN-MAI, a 65 pages book, made with the intention to explain the traditional way of making modern Japanese knives. Compiling information necessary to the understanding of basic forging principles, the book’s purpose is to demystify the opaque ancestral art of Japanese knife-making, by means of illustrations, definitions and images in intelligible contexts.
